     Today’s commercially-raised poultry are all fed a processed chicken feed, containing many “by-products”, additives, medication and growth hormones.  One such additive, used since the 60’s to create pinker, bigger-breasted birds , contains ARSENIC!  This antibiotic arsenic compound, roxarsone, was deemed “undesirable” in the European Union, but is still available for use in the US! 

     All of the animals raised for slaughter at Campagnola Farms, are fed non-medicated poulin-grain feed and anything else they can graze from our pasture.   The result are birds which take a little longer to mature, but tastes delicious!

     All birds are slaughtered onsite at Campagnola Farms, and are not inspected by any state or federal officials.  Purchases made are for home-consumption only and are not to be resold.  You can purchase our birds every Friday during the Farmer’s Market on the Westford Green, or at our farm site.  Notices will be posted at the Farmer’s Market when a slaughter is set to occur, or you can call for email for further details.
